VisafarCan nationals of India or China visit United Kingdom with an Irish visa?
Yes, if your passport alone would need a visa, United Kingdom lets you in visa-free for up to 90 days when you hold an Irish visa.
- British-Irish Visa Scheme (BIVS), in reverse. The Irish short-stay visa must be endorsed 'BIVS'.
- You must have entered Ireland on that visa first.
- The Irish visa must be a short-stay visit, tourist, conference/event or business visa, applied for at a UK-Ireland visa application centre in India or China, for a stay of 90 days or fewer.
- You may stay in the UK until your Irish permission to land ends (the stamp in your passport, not the dates on the visa), and may not work.
