Thailand and Malaysia: Indian passports get 30 days visa-free

Thailand revised its visa exemption scheme from 15 September 2026. Indian ordinary passport holders now get a 30-day visa exemption for tourism, down from 60 days. The passport data still showed 60. Malaysia's visa waiver for Indian nationals is 30 days (not 90 as the passport data showed), for business, tourism, social or transit, until 31 December 2026, with the MDAC arrival card submitted online beforehand (High Commission of Malaysia, New Delhi).
