Some countries let you in visa-free, or with a visa on arrival, if you already hold a valid visa or residence permit from certain other countries, such as a US, UK or Schengen visa, or residence in the Gulf. Your passport alone wouldn’t get you in. Visafar lists those routes for the documents you hold, each with its conditions and the source it comes from.

No. Visafar is independent and not affiliated with any government. Unlock rules are hand-checked against the source each one cites (an official government page wherever one could be reached) and graded by how certain that source is. Always confirm with the authority before you book.

All 53 unlock rules have been checked line by line against their source, and 40 of them had an error we corrected. 24 cite the law or regulation they come from. Rules whose pages can’t be fetched automatically carry a manual re-check date, every 14 to 90 days depending on how often they move. Each result is labelled Verified (an official source was read and recorded), Source-backed, Index data (passport-alone status from an aggregate dataset) or Confirm first, rather than presented as fact.

Passport-alone visa status covers 200+ destinations, from an aggregated passport-index dataset. On top of that, Visafar adds its own hand-checked unlock rules for what a visa or residence permit you hold opens up. Confirm any entry with the destination’s immigration authority before you travel.

No. Checking where you can go, the Schengen calculator and the layover checker all work without one. A free account adds email alerts when a rule you watch changes, and keeps your documents and watchlist on every device. There’s no password: you sign in with a link we email you.

Checking where you can go is free. Optional paid plans add things that follow a trip for you: saved trips, reminders before you fly, alerts when a rule on your route changes, and a printable dossier. They never change what Visafar says about a destination. See Pricing for what’s available.

The lookups run in your browser, so your passport and visas stay on your device. If you create an account, we keep your email, your watchlist, the documents you save to it (with their expiry dates, never document numbers) and any trips you save. The privacy summary in our terms has the details.
