1.What Visafar is

Visafar helps travellers see where the passport and the visas or residence permits they already hold may let them go, and provides tools such as a Schengen day counter and a transit/layover checker. Passport-alone entry status is drawn from an aggregated open passport-index dataset; the "unlock" rules are Visafar's own, hand-checked against the source each rule cites (an official government page wherever one could be reached), graded by how certain that source is, and re-checked on a rolling schedule. It is a short-stay tourist information tool, not for work, study, or long-term immigration decisions.

2.No warranty on accuracy

We work hard to keep the data correct and to grade it by confidence, but Visafar is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Rules can be wrong, out of date, or not apply to your case. We do not guarantee that any border officer, airline or authority will make the same determination shown here.

3.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Visafar and its operator are not liable for any loss, cost, missed travel, denied boarding, denied entry, penalty, or any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the tool or its data. Your use of Visafar is at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for verifying your travel requirements.

4.Acceptable use

• Use Visafar for your own personal travel planning.
• Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute the data or present it as an official source.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the service or its systems.
• Do not use the tool for any unlawful purpose.

5.Paid plans, service and changes

The core tool is free. Trip Pass and Pro are for sale only when the plans page shows a price with a buy button; until then nothing is for sale and no payment is taken. Plans marked “coming later” (including Nomad) are not for sale.

• Payment. Payments are taken by Stripe on its own checkout page. Your card details never reach Visafar. The price and currency are shown before you pay. Where a local price has been set for the country your connection appears to come from, prices are shown and charged in that local currency; everywhere else they are in US dollars.
• Trip Pass is a single payment for 30 days from purchase and does not renew. Buying another adds 30 days.
• Pro renews each month or year until you cancel under Manage billing in the tool. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds. If you are not happy, ask within 14 days of a payment and we will refund it in full, no questions asked. Email hello@visafar.com from the address you bought with. A refunded Trip Pass ends when the refund is made; a refunded Pro payment ends Pro when the subscription is cancelled. After 14 days, payments are not refundable, but you can cancel Pro at any time.
• What you pay for. Paid plans add saved trips, reminders, alerts, dossiers and the full next-best-visa report. They never change what Visafar says about a destination, and they carry the same disclaimer as everything else here.

Features, coverage and data may change, be added or be withdrawn. We may modify or discontinue the service, and we may update these terms; continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

6.Sources, licences and intellectual property

• Passport-alone visa status comes from the open Passport Index dataset, imorte/passport-index-data, the maintained successor of ilyankou/passport-index-dataset, which is compiled from passportindex.org (Passport Index, Arton Capital) and published under the MIT licence. The current snapshot is dated February 2026. It is an aggregate, not an official ruling.
• Country names, regions and flags contain information from mledoze/countries, which is made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0.
• Country photographs are from Wikimedia Commons, under each image’s own licence.
• The unlock rules (what a visa or residence permit adds beyond the passport, with their sources, verification notes and grades) are Visafar’s own work.

Full licence texts and copyright notices: third-party notices. Official links point to third-party government and application sites, which have their own terms and over which we have no control. The Visafar name, brand and original content remain the property of its operator.

7.Partner offers & affiliate disclosure

Some pages may show clearly labelled partner offers, for example travel insurance, eSIMs, travel cards, or paid visa-application services. If you buy through one, Visafar may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. How this works:

• Offers never change the answer. Which destinations open, their order, their verification label and the official government link shown are computed the same way whether or not any offer exists.
• Official first. Paid visa-application services are only shown where a visa or e-visa application is needed, always below the official government link, and labelled as optional. Applying directly on the official site is usually cheaper.
• Where offers appear. After a result, marked “Partner offers” and linked with rel="sponsored". Clicks pass through a short Visafar link that counts clicks per partner per day. Visafar adds no cookies and no personal data.
• Partners are independent companies with their own terms and privacy policies; Visafar is not responsible for their products.

8.Privacy summary

• Your document choices stay on your device. The passport, visas and trips you enter are processed in your browser and saved to your device's local storage; they are not sent to us unless you take an explicit action.
• Profile sync is optional and passwordless: if you choose to save, we store your document selections under a random code so you can reload them on another device. This holds no name, no login and no contact details.
• Waitlist & alerts: if you give us your email, we store it to tell you when plans open or when a rule you rely on changes. We do not sell your email or share it for marketing.
• Accounts (optional): if you sign in with your email, we keep your email address, your watchlist, your plan, the documents you save (passport country, residence, the visas and permits you tick and their expiry dates; never document numbers) and any trips you save (the route, departure date, and the documents and expiry dates you entered for it), and use the email only to send sign-in links, alerts about rules you watch or that affect a saved trip, reminders before a saved trip and, on paid plans, before a saved document expires. Deleting a trip removes it and stops its emails. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we ask that provider only for your email address (Apple may give a private relay address), receive no password and nothing else from your account, and post nothing on your behalf. Emails are sent through our email provider (Resend). A single cookie keeps you signed in for up to 90 days and is used for nothing else.
• Payments (when plans are on sale): checkout happens on Stripe’s own pages. Visafar never sees or stores your card details; we keep your Stripe customer reference and what you bought.
• Border reports: if you tap “It matched” or “It didn’t” on a result, we add one to that destination’s public count. To stop repeat reports we keep a one-way hash of your IP address and the destination for 30 days, then it is deleted. Nothing else about you is stored with the report.
• Usage counts: we count visits and a few actions (searches, sign-ins, buy clicks, purchases, partner clicks and shares) as anonymous daily totals, broken down only by the kind of site that sent you (for example Reddit or Google). Your browser remembers that source for 30 days in its local storage so a later purchase can be credited to it. No cookie is used, and nothing identifying you, what you searched or your IP address is stored with these counts. We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies.
• We do not knowingly collect passport numbers, document scans, or other sensitive personal data, and you should never enter them.
• You can ask us to delete your waitlist email or a saved profile at any time using the contact below.

9.Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Visafar's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions, corrections or deletion requests: hello@visafar.com. We aim to reply within two business days.
