Can Thai passport holders with an EU/EEA residence permit enter Moldova?
Yes. With a valid EU residence permit, Thai passport holders can enter Moldova visa-free for up to 90 days, instead of e-visa on the passport alone.

Conditions
- For citizens of the 29 countries marked on Moldova's visa list (including China, India, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, South Africa and the Dominican Republic): a valid visa (not a transit visa) or residence permit from an EU or Schengen state, the UK, the US or Canada.
- You may travel only while that visa or permit is valid.
- Other visa-required nationalities — including Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam — still need a Moldovan visa; the same documents only exempt them from the invitation letter.
- Graded 'confirm first': the Ministry of Foreign Affairs page states this, but a 2025 amendment to the foreigners law could not be read at source (the legal database blocks automated access).
Also accepted instead of an EU/EEA residence permit: Schengen visa, US visa, UK visa, Canadian visa, US Green Card, Irish visa, UK residence permit, Canadian PR.
