Conditions
- Nationals who need a Cabo Verde visa before travelling (a list of 91 countries since 1 January 2026) are exempt if they hold a valid residence permit from an EU state, Iceland, Liechtenstein, the UK, San Marino, Switzerland, the Vatican, Brazil, Canada or the US.
- The residence permit must guarantee your unconditional readmission to the country that issued it.
- With the exemption you enter as other travellers do: register on Cabo Verde's EASE portal before you fly and get the visa at the border.
- The official text doesn't state the length of stay; confirm it when you register.
Also accepted instead of a UK residence permit: EU/EEA residence permit, US Green Card, Canadian PR.
