Can Sri Lankan passport holders with a US Green Card enter Egypt?
Yes. With a valid US Green Card, Sri Lankan passport holders can enter Egypt with a visa on arrival. On the passport alone they would need a visa.

Conditions
- Holders of a US Green Card valid for more than 6 months on arrival can get a visa at the airport, which the Egyptian Embassy in Washington calls an emergency visa. The embassy advises getting the visa in advance where possible.
- Your passport must also be valid for more than 6 months on arrival.
- Not available to Bangladeshi nationals, or to nationals who need Egypt's prior approval: Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Iran, Israel, Mali, Niger, Palestine, Sudan and Syria.
- Confirm with your airline before you fly that it will board you without a visa. Egyptian border officers can refuse entry.
- The embassy page doesn't state how long you can stay; confirm the length of stay on arrival.
- Since 1 September 2026, Egyptian airports issue arrival visas as an electronic QR code instead of a sticker.
